Brittany weekend

               I spent a few days in Brittany Northern France , staying in the port city of St. Malo.
The coastline is dotted with small islands especially Le Grand Be and Petit Be some of which can be reached at low tide across the sandy beaches.

        I made sketches of the coastline in a small workbook and produced some small "rough cuts"(see March posts ) of acrylic on card as preparatory sketches for some finished work.

                                                    

 

 

 

 

 

 

I took the ferry across the La Rance estuary to Dinard, a favourite haunt of Picasso in the 1920's.
